The new version won't start, or says the folder is in use
The old version is still running. Close its window, wait a minute, and check Task Manager for opacrad.exe. If it's there, choose End task, then start the new version.
My miner keeps falling behind, or its blocks don't count
Check your computer's clock. On Windows: Settings, Time & language, Date & time, then Sync now. A clock that's off makes your node and the network disagree.
Windows says "Part of this app has been blocked"
That's Smart App Control, because our programs aren't code-signed yet. Use Linux on that computer instead, and don't switch Smart App Control off.
Windows Security blocks XMRig as a coin miner
It does that to every XMRig build, for every coin, because criminals hide miners on other people's computers. The launcher in the main Opacra download mines on its own and doesn't need XMRig. If you want XMRig for a pool, download it only from github.com/opacra/opacra-xmrig, check its hash, and decide for yourself whether to allow that one detection in Windows Security, Protection history. Never switch Defender off.
My balance doesn't show new coins
Mined coins unlock after 60 blocks, about 30 minutes. In the wallet, type refresh and enter your password when it asks, then balance.
How do I update without losing my wallet?
Close the old version and wait until it has fully quit. Unzip the new version into a new folder, then copy mainnet-wallet, mainnet-wallet.keys and mainnet-wallet.address.txt into it before you start (for the testnet, the three testnet-wallet files).
Do I need to do anything about emergency checkpoints?
No. If an attack ever needs miners to follow them, this site will say so. Then restart with ENFORCE_CHECKPOINTS=1 ./start-mainnet.sh, or set ENFORCE_CHECKPOINTS=1 in the Windows start file.
How many confirmations should I wait for?
Wait 20 blocks, about 10 minutes, before treating a payment as final, and 120 blocks, about an hour, for large amounts or exchange deposits.
Where can I trade OPCA?
Nowhere yet. It isn't listed on any exchange. A listing will be announced here and on @opacra_org, and only once trading is live.
Will my testnet coins become mainnet coins?
No. Testnet coins have no value and never carry over.
