How the reward works
Each block pays what's left of the 10 million, divided by 222. It starts at 2.384 OPCA on block 1. There's no slow start, because full rewards draw the most miners in the first week, when a new chain is easiest to attack.
After about 15.4 years the reward reaches its floor of 0.05 OPCA a block. That's about 52,600 OPCA a year, roughly 0.5% and falling, and it keeps miners paid for as long as the chain runs.
